Thaleia and Yiannis Wedding at Limnos is one of my top ten favorite weddings in Greece! There’s something magical about Limnos Island, a hidden gem in the northeastern Aegean Sea. Limnos Island is a place where time seems to stand still. The couple chose to host their wedding in the picturesque St. Paraskevi Vontela, Myrina. It’s a serene spot known for its traditional architecture and stunning views of the Aegean. The ceremony took place in a location offering panoramic sea views.
As a photographer, I’m always looking for locations that tell a story, and this one did not disappoint. The natural beauty of Limnos, combined with the simplicity of the chapel, created an atmosphere of pure romance and tranquility. The gentle sea breeze, the soft rustling of olive trees, and the warm glow of the setting sun made it a dream setting for Thaleia and Yiannis to exchange their vows.
Wedding at Limnos, An Ode to Elegance
Thaleia and Yiannis wanted their wedding to reflect the natural beauty of Limnos, so they opted for a minimalistic yet elegant theme. The color palette featured soft whites, sweet soft blues, muted greens, and touches of pinks, perfectly complementing the island’s polite navy tones. The bride’s bouquet was a delicate mix of wildflowers and green branches, adding a touch of local flavor to the celebration.
The reception was at a charming beachfront venue, Manos Beach Bar, Richa Nera. Guests dined under the stars, with the gentle sound of waves providing the perfect soundtrack to the evening. The tables were adorned with simple yet beautiful centerpieces made of local flowers, adding a fragrant touch to the air. The menu featured the best of Limnos’ culinary offerings, from fresh seafood to local wines.
