One of the highlights on a wedding day is when the bride and groom see each other for the first time. The moments of the first look wedding photos are the couple’s private moment to admire each other before the actual wedding day begins. It is their moment, their wedding reality check… their aha moment of “here we are – I love you – let’s do this”. This brief period after all the wedding preparations and before the wedding ceremony and celebrations with their family and friends.
Wedding Day
I met Mary 4 years before her wedding. A girl with great enthusiasm and passion bubbling joyously about life, future plans, and love. I was more than thrilled to be a part of her engaging a couple of years later and then her beautiful wedding with Yiannis.
The happy couple was determined to have first look wedding photos. I am really a fan of first looks. A wedding day is full of exciting moments and love explosion by family and friends that cannot hold down their excitement to share their affection for you and their delight for your wedding. In other words, the entire wedding day is a day full of people.
A first look takes only a few seconds and you get to share a very special moment with the only love of your life. It’s the tiny jiff that you can get to calm your worries and at the same time look that glow at your companion’s eyes without any distractions. It’s a feeling that will last forever!
Day After Wedding Photos
The wedding day went perfectly even though a cloud or two might try to menace us above our heads. Just a beautiful overcast that treated us with a much-welcomed freshness in the heart of a very hot summer.
A day after wedding photo shoot was a must for this couple. Very much in love with photos and stable on their ideas that images will become the heirloom of their wedding day, Mary and Yiannis decided to do a day after session. Mary was very excited to have the opportunity to wear her wedding dress again! After all, why wear it once?
It was a beautiful morning and the sun on that blue sky gave us the most amazing light ever! The newlywed couple has lost all of the before-wedding nervousness and anticipation for the big day and was relaxed. They enjoyed their deep emotional connection throughout the wedding photo session.
About First Look Wedding Photos
The first look wedding session is a relatively new addition to the wedding photography experience of before or after wedding traditional captures. The first look photos are solely dedicated to one-on-one portraits between the bride and groom where they see each other for the first time prior to the ceremony.
