Yes, you can have a super Urban Chic Wedding downtown Athens. Vassiliki and Dimitris’ wedding is the living example of an extraordinary & unconventional wedding in the center of Athens.
This kind of modern wedding is a beautiful experience for every photographer. It takes tones of inspiration and courage to have an urban chic wedding… You see this styling has been growing in popularity only for the last couple of years.
It features a more personalized and intimate wedding experience. When a couple is determined to enjoy their wedding day, absolutely nothing can stop them. Vassiliki and Dimitris showed me the depth of their unique love and their amazing character during their pre-wedding photo shoot in the Central Market of Athens. Both are truly street food lovers, something that was apparent from the location it was chosen to do their engagement session. I should remind you that burgers were involved!
If there is a will to turn tables then there is a way to do it. There colorful pre-wedding photoshoot, in the center of the open food market at Rentis, was jaw-dropping and joyful. I love people who dare to be open minded and ready to jump into an out of the box approach of a photography session. I love diversity and individuality!
Expressing your intimate feelings in front of a camera is revolutionary and liberating at the same time. But doing so in an open food market sets new meaning in the definition of daring. As a personal photographer, I am all in for couples in love and expressions that glow and whatever makes one happy and glue a genuine smile on their face.
Urban chic is the new trend
Urban chic is all about making the city backdrop look beautiful and stylish, sometimes with a touch of a vintage flare. Today, many couples prefer to create a theme out of the box. Vassiliki and Dimitris are definitely not a conventional couple. Deeply dedicated on one another, with a great sense of humor and a characteristic view towards life, they both designed a different wedding.
Their wedding was to lift off their love to the alternative view. As they like the downtown feel of Athens, their wedding took place at the church of Metohi Panagiou Tafou in the old city of Athens, Plaka. A beautiful church with an excellent yard filled with trees. Their party could not but involve a food truck! So 48 Urban Garden was the place to be!
Nothing was to be classic: even the “cake” was not cut but hammered down with a wooden hammer!… and we have the pictures to prove it! Rock Paper Scissors did again their magic and everything was designed to perfection! A party for everyone that would have to include great food, cocktails and a lot of lights. The wedding had an urban chic geometrical theme and everything, from the stationary, the desserts and the decorations followed this theme in the most creative way. Everything was just magical and breathtaking!
Apart from the alternative vibe that the devoted couple gave to their wedding day, I have to confess what I received from that day. The wedding day of Vassiliki and Dimitris was one of the weddings that I will cherish in my heart forever. The reason is the feelings: the emotions that the whole family and friends shared and made me feel with them. The day was not only beautiful because every vendor performed in the best way possible… the day was perfect because everyone enjoyed it to the end.
