Dreamy Christening in Cyprus
Cyprus is a big island country in the eastern Mediterranean Sea south of the Anatolian Peninsula. Continentally, it is often placed in Western Asia while being culturally tied to Southeast Europe. The christening took place in Limassol, which is a beautiful city on the southern coast of Cyprus.
It’s known for the centuries-old Limassol Castle, home to the Cyprus Medieval Museum and its collection of pottery and tombstones. On the seafront is the Prokymea (Molos) Sculpture Park, with sculptures by Cypriot, Greek, and international artists. To the northeast is the Limassol Archaeological Museum, exhibiting artifacts from the Neolithic to the Roman periods.
Apart from the breathtaking beauty of this island, there is one more thing that makes this christening special and dear. I know this couple from the days there were preparing for their marriage in Spetses, back in 2016. There are not many times that I remain speechless. But their wedding day was adorable. Stephanie and Christopher, enjoying every single step of their big day in Spetses.
Our path start when we first met through Skype because Stephanie and Christopher were from Cyprus. Some months later we had the chance of meeting in person and discussing all the beautiful wedding details during their pre-wedding photo session in Athens. But before even meeting them for the first time, I knew that this couple is a true love story made to last forever. They had such amazing energy! Capturing their daughter’s christening is more than rewarding. Being part of their life journey, makes me feel like part of their family. And I am so thankful for that gift!

I arrived on a beautifully sunny day to find the church alive with the sounds of family laughing and sharing the joy of their new arrival. Everywhere I could see big smiles and people hugging each other with honest tenderness. They were sharing gifts, and then finally settle to enjoy the christening ceremony.
During this christening in Cyprus, the child was relaxed and calm and looked gorgeous in her christening gown. It was one of these rare cases where the child is really relaxed and happy with the christening ceremony. She was truly enjoying the attention and love from her family and godparents. Katerina is born to make all cameras her friends. A sweet little lovable angel.
Her family was thrilled with joy for Katerina’s christening and when the photos from the baptism party are here to prove it. I wish this little angel for her life to be full of joy, happiness, and love as her baptism day was. Between me and you, family bonds are the most precious gifts ever. And this child is blessed with plenty.
